CFS Regina has a brand new, state-of-the-art play, art and sand therapy space which is utilized for children, families and adults.
Through play or art therapy exploration, it allows children and adults alike to explore needs in a way that is naturally comfortable and familiar. Children have explained that play therapy feels like a really fun hour with a caring adult playing with toys.
Sand Tray therapy gives children, families and adults the opportunity to create and build therapeutic spaces within a sand tray with a Counsellor’s guidance. We have a full wall of small figurines which are selected by the participants and used to generate counselling sessions in a small tray of sand, similar to a sandbox. Eyes light up when entering this space as it is full of delightful items and unlike traditional office counselling spaces.
We even have a sensory swing hanging from the roof which is the most popular seat in the space.
Art Therapy consists of using a variety of mixed methods related to creativity and imagination. It includes painting, clay moulding, and drawing, music, writing poetry and playing musical instruments. You do not have to be experienced in the art to use this method. We welcome you to give it a try with any level of experience. We have been absolutely astounded by the great skills and talents that have come to light while using art therapy.
Each of our Counsellors brings a variety of training, experience and adventure to each session making a play, art and sand therapy a favourite among our counselling community.
Please call our office at (306) 525-0521 and ask for our Intake Counsellor if you would like to learn more about accessing any of the therapeutic methods mentioned above.

Sliding Scale
We use a sliding scale to determine fees based on your income level. The most important part for us is that you are able to access a Counsellor without worrying about the costs involved. No one will be refused counselling for financial reasons ever. Our Intake Counsellor will be working with you at intake to ensure that your access to counselling has as few barriers as possible.
Some of our programs are provided at no cost based on funding provided from our community partners.
